Why handmade dice?

Why not? But really, handmade dice are playable art pieces. Not only are you buying something crafted with care, but you're also supporting a small, woman-owned business.

How do you make your dice?

Using two part epoxy, handmade silicone molds, 3d printed "master" dice, and inclusions such as pressed flowers, glitter, paper, and mylar, the dice are cured under pressure, removed from the molds, and then sanded and polished.

They're handmade. Do they have flaws?

I try and get each die as close to perfect as possible, and I don't sell flawed dice unless otherwise noted. If a set has any characteristic marks outside of what you can expect on factory dice, it will be noted and photographed. These dice will be listed in the "Imperfect but Playable" collection when available.

Are they balanced?

If you roll factory dice, you can roll these! Beyond making sure inclusions used weigh next to nothing or are cast from the same resin as the dice, handmade dice are just as balanced if not moreso than factory made. All my dice go through quality control, meaning I make sure each one is finished to my standards. The only "perfectly" balanced dice are casino dice, which are injection molded in hermetically-sealed chambers, and checked by machines. But even casino dice are swapped out every 15-20 minutes to ensure they remain random. If you want to learn more about dice balance, check out this article.

Your shop is out of stock. Why?

Dice making is and always will be a hobby for me, which means I do it outside of my full time job and other daily activities. Since it's only me doing all of the marketing, making, sanding, polishing, packing and shipping, I do periodic bulk shop updates instead of having rolling stock.

Do you ship internationally?

All purchases will ship via USPS, fully insured and tracked (when available). As of 2/12/2022, USPS is unable to ship to certain countries due to COVID19. You can find a full list of those countries here. If you wish to purchase from me, and are located in a country that USPS is not currently shipping to, please reach out and we can find an alternative shipping method. Please allow 5-7 business days for packages to be shipped. I try my best to package your dice as carefully as possible to avoid damage in transit. If your dice arrive damaged in any way, please reach out to me and we can remedy the issue.

How do I take care of my handmade dice?

  • Keeping handmade resin dice out of direct sunlight, and rolling them on designated rolling surfaces will ensure they stay pristine.
  • While my pieces are cast using a resin that has a yellowing inhibitor, it is the characteristic of epoxy resin to yellow over time. Floral pieces, and pieces containing organic material are more subject to this yellowing, but it should be very subtle if it does occur. If you are having issues with your dice yellowing faster than you think appropriate, please reach out to me.
  • As these pieces are small and are a potential choking hazard, they're not intended for children who have a habit of putting objects in their mouth or up their nose.

What if I want to return my dice?

Currently, I am not accepting returns on dice unless they are damage in transit. Returns can be made on a case by case basis. I try and provide as many pictures and detailed descriptions of all dice available. If you have any questions or concerns about your purchase, please reach out to me and we can discuss.
